Lexi GoGo
Lexi felt called to the arts from an early age. Born in Louisiana and raised in Maine, she grew up passionate about painting, drawing, sculpture, creative writing and theatre. She studied at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and is a graduate of Maine College of Art & Design.
After a chance viewing of a fire performance, she became fascinated with the art of prop manipulation. This path has led her on many adventures through learning, teaching and performing. She enjoys many aspects of being an entertainer; creating costuming and makeup looks and the transformative potential therein, the power of art to increase awareness and facilitate discussion around important issues, and the communities that she has had the chance to connect with through her work.
Although her art is not easily categorized, sources of inspiration include space & astrology, occult imagery, mythology, antiquities, circus, art nouveau, psychedelia, anime, pin-up art, period and couture fashion, rave/festival fashion, makeup art, body modification, vintage Halloween art, biological forms, animals and nature.
