The Waldo Theatre welcomes back Portland-based Curbside Queens as they spread the joy and celebration of the Queer experience and the art of Drag with the people of Maine. Curbside Queens was born out of the early days of the pandemic lockdown 2020, at a time when community morale and engagement was hitting a low. Cherry Lemonade and GiGi Gabor floated the idea of driveway shows, utilizing Gigi’s SUV and a boombox, as a way to celebrate during a pride month devastated by a global pandemic. What was originally thought to be a fun thing for 2 or 3 weekends quickly turned into 19 weeks, 8000 miles, and 88 shows all across Maine. Now, complete with a cast of eight and their very own pink tour bus (named Peg), come join the queens for a fun and fabulous evening of celebration. Creative dress is encouraged!!!

Adult online tickets are available for $25 in advance, $30 the day of the event. A limited amount of Front Row Seats will be available for $40. each. $1 from every ticket will be donated to The Trevor Project, helping to fund suicide prevention services for LGBTQ teens.

Doors open at 7:00pm. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Free parking is available on Main Street; Friendship Street; in the 8 spaces on Glidden Street; in the Kuhn Parking lot (beside the masonic lodge on Main Street); and in the lot behind Perch and The Narrows Tavern. DO NOT park on School Street.
